Robert,
I just wanted to let you know that I have really enjoyed your book. I grew up spending my summers on a lake in the southern Adirondacks and have been fly fishing West Canada Creek since I was about 12 years old.  I have just recently started tying flies this past year, and for about six months I kept thinking about tying flies that were made for/in the Adirondacks. I didn’t really know where to begin until I came across your book.  It has been the perfect starting point to going down this rabbit hole. Thank you for compiling all that information in an easy to read narrative and telling the history of the Adirondacks.

Best Regards,
Nate Heckman

Robert,

Thank you so much for the flies.  Your book was a gift for my husband, who has long tied his own flies.  We live in upstate SC and had a cabin in western NC, where the Davidson River is a delight to fish.  His health prevents his fishing now, but he has wonderful memories of time spent in Roscoe, NY, Livingston, MT, on the Yellow Britches, and in Door County. In 1998 we spent a month in Cooke City, Montana, and then in Roscoe, NY, which was perhaps the highlight of his fly fishing experience  Thank you for re-kindling his memories.
